1st Race (0-15 – 1365m)

Preference is for #5 ROCHESTER in the opening contest of this classic meeting. He has been competitive in his last few runs, and he hails from a yard that is bang on form. #6 Kali’s Champ scored a brilliant win in the ninth meeting. He remains well and is capable of doubling the score with Niven Marday on board once again. #2 Midnight Messenger was a major disappointment in his last run. He is capable of better and can make his presence felt. #4 Artax looks the likeliest to complete the quartet.

Our Favourite: #5 ROCHESTER

The Dangers: #6 Kali’s Champ, #2 Midnight Messenger, #4 Artax

2nd Race (B.41 – 1850m)

Since the end of last season, #4 Million Dollar Man has performed like a freight train, with five wins in his last six races. His last win saw him swat the opposition aside effortlessly. He remains very well and it won’t be a surprise if he makes it once again. However, the vote goes to #1 ARLINGTONS REVENGE, who was far from disgraced in his seasonal debut when finishing 4th, 4.5 lengths behind Emblem Of Hope. He has been a consistent presence at track work, and he showed up well in his grass gallop last week. Moreover, he is a class dropper and will appreciate running over the 1850 metres. #2 Lemon Drop Shot is another class dropper and can make his presence felt, while #3 Bestday Of Mylife was not very far behind the winner in his previous run and can be thereabouts in this.

The Dangers: #4 Million Dollar Man, #2 Lemon Drop Shot, #3 Bestday Of Mylife

3rd Race (B.31 – 1365m)

#4 Jack Tarr finally got the win he was looking for in his last run. He has the ability to make it once again. #5 San Andreas’ last run must be ignored. Before that, he had finished runner-up to Candle Cove in the third meeting. He has worked to satisfaction and can produce a cracker of a showing. #6 SMUTS was under-par last Sunday. He has been entered again, this time with the blinkers fitted, and he jumps from a good draw. He can mount a bold bid here. #1 Romanus last won in July 2020. It is his first start of the season and having impressed in the build-up to this race, he is worthy of consideration. #3 Yankee Force was the first winner for both Chase Maujean and the Rameshwar Gujadhur Stable this season. He runs well fresh and even in this higher class, is not prevented from confirming.

Our Favourite: #6 SMUTS

The Dangers: #5 San Andreas, #4 Jack Tarr, #1 Romanus

4th Race (B.46 – 990m)

Who can stop #2 CARTEL BOSS? He sealed his hat-trick with panache last Sunday and he can justify his yard’s decision to enter him once again. #4 Candle Cove had no problems in renewing with success in the ninth meeting. He looks the likeliest to take advantage of any slip up from the overwhelming favourite. #6 Swagger Jagger scored a brilliant win in his previous run. He would have preferred a longer trip but nevertheless, he can be thereabouts. #1 Juniper Lane and #7 Bye Bye Rocket can fight it out to complete the quartet.

Our Favourite: #2 CARTEL BOSS

The Dangers: #4 Candle Cove, #6 Swagger Jagger, #1 Juniper Lane

5th Race (B.56 – 1400m)

The Gujadhur Stable hold a strong hand here with the duo of #2 Shah Akbar and #3 THOMAS HENRY. The former has finished 2nd and 3rd in two Group races respectively and now that he has taken a big drop in class, he can make it third time lucky. The latter struck in his seasonal debut, and that was franked twice when the runner-up went one better, and the runner-up of that race struck in his follow-up. His last start saw him finish 3rd in a Group 3, 1.7 lengths behind the irresistible Walls Of Dubrovnik. Well-trained, he can resume his winning ways. #1 Emblem Of Hope had to do it the hard way when getting the better of Master Of Illusion in the ninth meeting. Still in good order, he is capable of confirming. #4 Ideal Secret ended his long winless spell in his seasonal debut. Freshened up, his own chances of confirming must not be scoffed at. #6 Bless My Path made the headlines in the sixth meeting when he ended Remus’ invincibility. He is worth a thought in this contest.

Our Favourite: #3 THOMAS HENRY

The Dangers: #2 Shah Akbar, #1 Emblem Of Hope, #4 Ideal Secret

6th Race – The Fashion Heights Barbe Cup (Group 1 – W.F.A – 1600m)

Our second Classic race of the season is not to be missed, with cases being made for numerous candidates. #1 Frosted Gold was last seen earning Rye Joorawon his 400th career win. Freshened up, he has looked bang on form at track work, and can add this big race to his glittering collection. #4 Twist Of Fate has come out very well from his seasonal debut. He has excelled at track work, and is more than capable of making up for his near-miss in last year’s race, won by #2 Undercover Agent. This horse has yet to get going so far this season, but he has improved considerably in terms of condition and form, and it won’t be a surprise if he shows his true colours this time round. #10 ROYAL WULFF may have made it all about himself in the Duchess Of York Cup, but he was certainly unlucky in his follow-up. That was franked when the winner struck once again. He has been a star performer at track work and he has a genuine chance of scoring his second consecutive Classic win. #6 Black Cat Back produced a near-cracker in his seasonal debut. He has benefited from that run and if he manages to dictate proceedings, he can make it all the way. #2 Alshibaa returns following his finest hour in the Maiden Cup last season. He has been well-prepared for his seasonal debut, and is worthy of consideration. #5 Alyaasaat has come out strongly following his first run for his new yard. With the pace expected to be a good one, he will be a genuine threat in the closing stages.

Our Favourite: #10 ROYAL WULFF

The Dangers: #1 Frosted Gold, #4 Twist Of Fate, #5 Alyaasaat

7th Race (0-25)

Cases can be made for most of the field in this contest. #6 Pin Drop went from gun to tape in the third meeting. He remains well and is capable of opening Bill Jacobson’s account for the season. #1 Talisman struck from the ace just three meetings ago. Still in good order, he is more than capable of doubling the score. #5 Honokalani was not disgraced in his debut. He has worked to satisfaction and can mount a bold bid here. #3 SUPREME ORATOR struck in his seasonal debut. Since then, he has finished 3rd in his last two runs. He has worked to satisfaction and having drawn perfectly; he has a genuine chance of renewing with success.  #4 Amandla and #2 Bon Viveur are good contenders for the lower placings.

Our Favourite: #3 SUPREME ORATOR

The Dangers: #1 Talisman, #5 Honokalani, #6 Pin Drop

8th Race (B.36 – 1600m)

#7 CHOSEN WAY is in vastly improved shape and form following his return to competition. A big run is forthcoming from him here. #2 Canary Island was far from disgraced in his recent run. He remains a consistent sort and his chances here are more than genuine. #5 Nimitz opened his account for the season in his previous run thanks to a bold ride from Anthony Andrews. This partnership is capable of doubling the score. Similar comments apply to #1 Times New Roman, while #3 Giggin was a good-looking 4th in his previous attempt and merits a lot of respect in this.

Our Favourite: #7 CHOSEN WAY

The Dangers: #2 Canary Island, #5 Nimitz, #1 Times New Roman
